Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: With regard to the meat from the sacrificial animals, one third should be for your family, one third for yourself, and one third for the poor.

What is Qurbani?

Before giving your Qurbani, it’s important to understand its meaning and the purpose behind it. Qurbani, which means “sacrifice,” is an important practice in Islam. It reminds us of the great test Prophet Ibrahim (AS) went through when he was willing to sacrifice what he loved most, all in the name of Allah (SWT). This act of sacrifice is performed by Muslims during Eid Al-Adha to show their faith and obedience to Allah.

The sacrifice is made on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah. At Masjid-E-Hussain, we buy animals for Qurbani and send the meat to poor families who need it the most. We prioritize helping vulnerable people such as widows, single mothers, and orphans who may otherwise go without a proper meal.. Your donation ensures they are able to join in the blessings of Eid.
